Temple Baptist Church History

Temple Baptist Church held its very first service on October 20,1963. Bro. Franklin Wood was the founding pastor. The church was organized on January 2, 1964 with a charter that consisted of only 12 people. Within the first year, 89 people joined the church family. Since that time, four new churches have been started in Tennessee by the direct efforts of Temple Baptist Church. Temple’s heartbeat was founded on supporting missionaries. That same vision still carries on in the heart of every one of our church members.
